Power Down Downtown


Good thing it’s a sunny day, because a good chunk of the eastern end of downtown Boise is out of power.

According to Idaho Power, roughly 988 customers are affected by the outage, which spans Warm Springs to the Boise river and the Old Idaho Pen to Capitol Boulevard. At this point, they have no idea when they might get things back up and running.

Thanks to a well-timed phone call to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, it looks like the culprit was a goose which flew into the power lines around 4 p.m. We’re pretty sure the goose in question paid the ultimate price for its indiscretion.
