We don't have many laws at BWHQ:
- don't sell porn out of the office (you can watch it at the office and you can even take a lunch to fetch free porn, but no selling the stuff)
- don't ever whistle
- don't print in color
- don't ever say "that's not my job"
- don't ever, ever pass up free food
So when Boise Weekly staffer day rolled around at Flying Pie (aka free pizza any you we like it), we showed up with bells on. About a dozen of us knocked off work a little early and took a field trip to Flying Pie on State Street, where we spent a few hours making pizza. We had to leave a few people at the office to hold down the fort, but they've pledged to wander in later tonight for a stab at "our day."
Big thanks to pizza thrower Karl "with a K 'the professor'" Kathmann (who handed over his ID when we asked him his name and age), topping master Asa Meliza (who has no nickname because a name like his needs no nickname), and boss lady Kayce "K-Zilla" Bradford (who is almost family in my beyond BW life).
Flying Pie was, of course, voted Best Local Pizza by BW readers. Yeah, we pretty much think they're the shit right now, too (as we rub our full bellies).
Thanks Flying Pie! Let's do it again real soon.
