Low vs Diamond vs Neurolux

As the story goes, Low vs Diamond got their name from a disagreement that developed between ex-band member Ben Pollock’s girlfriend, Leyla "Lo" Safai and current drummer Howie Diamond. Diamond trumped Low, and the Los Angeles-based band transformed from a synth-y Air-influenced act to a welling, epic rock group in the vein of U2 or the Killers.

Low vs Diamond
, the fivesome’s debut self-titled full length, has been stirring up attention since it was released in 2008. In addition to having a couple songs featured on the CW’s teen drama One Tree Hill, Low vs Diamond were featured in Rolling Stone as “Artists to Watch” in 2008 and appeared on both Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Recently off a tour with semi-charmed ’90s rockers Third Eye Blind (check out this awesome article in New York Magazine, “In Defense of Third Eye Blind”) Low vs Diamond are swinging back through Boise for a show at the Neurolux tonight with Boise’s James Orr.
