Boise Weekly staffer Deanna Darr recently collated a list of lovely local indoor loos. But what is a guy to do if nature calls while he's walking down the street and an establishment won't let him use their facilities because he's not a customer?
Both The Design Blog and Wired Magazine's Gadget Lab section have recently published wee stories about a new device that provides a place for public peeing, with the late-night, stumbling drunk male in mind.
The Axixa, developed by Mexican designer Miguel Melgarejo, is a ceramic, bright yellow urinal in the shape that a stream of pee would leave, and can be mounted against a public wall.
I have no idea who is responsible for cleaning this clever device, nor how. And I don't want to.
