Calling all shutterbugs: You have just two days left to get your entries in for the annual BW Black and White Photo Contest.
That’s right, all the fabulous photographs must be in our hot little hands at Boise Weekly headquarters, 523 Broad St., by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 12. The entry fee is $5 per photo, and the rewards? Well, besides honor, glory and bragging rights, the overall winner will be published on the cover of the June 24 edition of BW.
Photographs will be entered in one of three categories—people, place or thing—and a panel of judges will select the top three in each. The ultimate, grand-prize winner will be chosen from the first-place winners. Money from the entry fees will go toward prize money, so the more entries, the more cash.
All entries must be either a black and white or monochrome photographic print that is at least 8 inches on one side, and mounted on white 16-by-20-inch matboard. High-quality digital prints are OK. All entries must have the photographer’s name, phone number and address on the back, and there is no limit to entries.
Check out the winners from last year and then go gather your best work and get it in here, fast.
