Not Quite the Oscars, but Not Bad

After two days of film-making frenzy, the contestants in the i48 Film Festival got their moment in the limelight.
Over the weekend, they got the chance to show off their creations in front of audiences eager to check out the latest celluloid creativity from Idaho filmmakers. But it wasn’t until Sunday night that they found out who ended up on the top of the heap during the awards ceremony.

And as a disclaimer, BW intern Brady Moore’s team, Shadowcab Productions took three awards in the Novice Category (Way to go, Brady!). BW freelance writer Jeremiah Robert Wierenga was part of the Sidewayz team which won both Best Actor and Best Film in the Open Category. Finally, a special self-serving shout out to the Best Actress winner in the Open Category, Macey Mott, who just happens to be one of my best friends. I guess we’ll forgive her for living a dozen miles over the Idaho border into Wyoming.
