It might not feel like it, but summer is icumen inas witnessed by the fact that the Boise River will officially open for floating on Wednesday.
Ada County announced this morning that it will open the Barber Park rental facilities and launch the shuttle bus for the first time on Wednesday.
Of course, that's only if the Bureau of Reclamation doesn't increase flows in the river.
Until now, high flows through town kept the river closed for safety reasons, but recently they've lowered enough to get anxious rafters out on the water.
But be warned; the river could be closed again if water levels rise.
