The Ada County Highway District is calling out you lazy bums tossing your leaves into the street.
They're taking pictures too. Who's the owner of that pickup? Clean up your mulch, slacker.
The roads agency said while it removes and disposes of leaves that naturally
fall onto the street, their street sweepers gag on the piles left by clever homeowners who sweep everything into the street.
You North Enders are particularly bad at this, they report.
Yep, they're seeing lots of you hipster punks tossing leaves into the roadway. They're watching you.
But wait, there's help: The City of Boise and Allied Waste are providing curbside pickup of bagged leaves from October 29 to November 30. For more information, contact the Boise Public Works Department at 384-3901 or Allied Waste at 345-1265.
Now, that's not hardly even trying.
And, you've got a free pass at the dump, too: All Ada County residents can deliver leaves and yard waste (no shrubs, brush, or tree limbs) free of charge to the Hidden Hollow landfill off Seaman's Gulch Road. Hidden Hollow will accept leaves from October 29 through December 15.
Go to the county's Web site
for more info, directions, etc. Or just keep sweeping those leaves, pal. See where that streetsweeper points it when he comes to your house.
