The election may be a month away, but residents can already cast their votes.
The City of Boise opened its absentee voting precinct earlier today, allowing anyone who will not be able to vote on Nov. 6 can cast ballots in advance of the general election.
The precinct, 650 Main St., is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday through Nov. 5. Absentee ballots can also be mailed in, and same-day registration is accepted at poling locations.
Anyone voting in the city election must be a resident for at least 30 days, and have a photo ID card and proof of a current Boise address.
