About those roads...

Now is your chance to have your say about the future on the Ada County Highway District and transportation across the valley.

Members of the Urban Land Institute will be in town next week to talk to Ada County residents about how the current roads system is working, or in some cases, not working. The group will be doing more than 100 interviews between June 18 and 22, and will give a presentation of its findings on June 22.

While many of the interviews will be with ACHD and other governmental officials, some spots have been reserved for those of us who just drive on the streets, not plan them. Anyone interested in being part of the process must fill out a questionnaire on the ACHD Web site.

Even if you are not selected for an interview, all comments will be included in the ULI group’s analysis of the inner workings of ACHD and the agency’s role in the valley. All interviews will be conducted on the afternoon of June 19 at The Grove Hotel in downtown Boise.

If you’d rather just talk to the ULI representatives in person, the public is invited to join the group at a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 18 at the ACHD Commission auditorium, 3775 Adams St. in Garden City.

Online surveys must be completed by 8 a.m. on June 19, and may be hand-delivered to the reception on June 18. They can also be mailed to ULI Advisory Panel c/o The Grove Hotel, 245 S. Capitol Blvd., Boise, ID 83703; faxed to 208-333-8800 or e-mailed to mailto:achdsurvey@uli.org”achdsurvey@uli.org with ACHD Panel as the subject line.
