The leaders of Idahos institutions for higher learning arent scrounging for cash.
The Idaho State Board of Education set the new salaries for all five leaders of the states universities and community colleges in their meeting earlier today in Boise.
Beginning July 1, Boise State University President Robert Kustra will earn $282,463, a decent raise from the $261,262 he made last year. Since he took his post in 2003, Kustras salary has jumped more than $117,000 from its starting point at $165,240.
He still makes just less than University of Idaho President Tim White, who will earn $291,911 this year. Idaho State University President Arthur Valais rounds out the university category by bringing home an annual $273,000.
Lewis Clark State College President Dene Thomas doesnt quite make as much as the big three, but will earn $146,141 next year. Finally, Eastern Idaho Technical College President Bill Robertson will take home $113,305.
