Boise emergency responders had a busy Wednesday morning.

First, the morning rush hour was tangled by a single vehicle wreck on the Boise Connector just after 8 a.m. April 8. Idaho State Police say the vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Morgan Benson of Idaho Falls, went off the eastbound lane of I-184, crossed three lanes of traffic, smashed through a fence and continued 400 feet until it came to rest in a ditch. Benson was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. The crash is still under investigation.

Second, investigators are still looking into an overnight crash where a vehicle plowed through a fence into the yard of a home on Jackie Lane near Maple Grove and Ustick Roads. Police said the residents of the home were on vacation, and no one was inside the home when the vehicle smashed through a shed near the home. The driver reportedly left the car running and left the scene, but police say he driver later returned to the crash site and was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
