Two Suspects Caught, Third Still At Large After Drive-By Shootings on Boise Bench

by

Boise police have two suspects behind bars and are looking for a third following an overnight incident where several shot were fired toward at least three Boise Bench homes.

The incident began shortly after 6 p.m. on April 6, when neighbors in the 1200 block of Security Lane near Kootenai and Orchard Streets reported shots being fired. Police said they found evidence of damage to at least three homes.

Soon after, police spotted a vehicle near Cassia and Phillippi, but its occupants—two men and a woman—took off on foot. Police apprehended one suspect in front of Borah High School and a second suspect about three hours later but said they're still looking for the female suspect. Police later indicated that the shootings were not random, and they believed "the suspects had a target in mind when they fired into the homes."

Zachary Tharp, 26, of Nampa was charged with three counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm into a dwelling and resisting and obstructing officers.

Damon Wall, 21, of Bellevue, Idaho, was charged with three counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm into a dwelling, burglary, criminal possession of a financial transaction card and resisting and obstructing officers.
