Idaho State Police Officer Charged With DUI, Placed on Leave

A major with the Idaho State Police has been placed on administrative leave following his March 25 arrest.

ISP reports that Maj. Clark Rollins was charged with a misdemeanor DUI and another misdemeanor charge of unlawful transportation of an alcoholic beverage by the Meridian Police Department. Meridian police say they pulled Rollins' car over for a traffic violation.

Rollins bonded out of the Ada County Jail after being processed Wednesday night.

In addition to the criminal charges, Rollins will also be subject to an internal investigation regarding possible violations of ISP policies.
