A month after the death of Buhl Herald
Publisher Sandra Wisecarver, her husband, Joe Wisecaver, said he plans to stop publishing the 106-year-old newspaper next week.
Wisecaver told the Twin Falls Times-News
that his wife was the heart and soul of the Buhl Herald
and had no choice but to stop publishing.
"It was just too much," he told the Times-News
. "We just wore everybody out after Sandra passed."
Sandra Wisecaver began working at the newspaper when she was in high school and, 10 years ago, she and her husband purchased the Buhl Herald
. She died after a two-year battle with cancer on the day of the 10th anniversary of the Wisecarver's purchase of the newspaper.
Joe Wisecaver told the Times-News
that, after publishing the final issue next week, he'll be going fishing.
