Two years ago, Idaho lawmakers decided to allow a gambling device that lets people bet on the outcomes of old horse races. The device, called "instant racing," was supposed to give the horse racing industry a boost.

But according to the Northwest News Network, the legislature is taking a second look at the device, because the machines look so much like slot machines, which are illegal in Idaho.

The Senate State Affairs Committee voted last week to introduce a bill that would repeal the law.
