Police in the Idaho panhandle city of Post Falls are investigating the appearance of dozens of Ku Klux Klan fliers, discovered on windshields in a Post Falls apartment complex earlier this week.
"You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake," read the flier.
This morning's Coeur d'Alene Press reports
that Post Falls Police Captain Pat Knight said the fliers were "nothing we haven't seen before," but the suspect or suspects responsible could be charged with a misdemeanor charge of placing propaganda on private property without permission.
Knight told the Press, "Generally, 90 percent of the people don't even look at the material and throw it away. It looks like they printed the fliers in bulk to get the most bang for their buck and targeted an area that has a high concentration of vehicles."
Knight said he checked with neighboring communities, but it appeared that Post Falls was the particular target of the fliers.
