Boise Police Blotter: One Day, Three Women, Three Felony DUIs

Three women, two from Boise and another from Star, are behind bars at the Ada County Jail, each charged with felony DUI .

Boise Police say they were dispatched to a parking lot of a retail store on the 10000 block of West Ustick Road on January 9. That's where they found a woman behind the wheel of a car who, officers said, smelled strongly of an alcohol. The suspect failed field sobriety tests and blew two blood alcohol levels of .205 and .191. Additionally, the suspect had two prior DUI convictions.

52-year-old Felicia Abney of Boise was charged with felony DUI.

The same day, Boise Police say they were called to a vehicle collision at the intersection of North Milwaukee and West Rifleman streets. That's where one of the drivers was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. But police also said the driver was impaired due to prescription medications. It was the suspect's third DUI arrest.

32-year-old Camille Ginkel of Boise was also charged with felony DUI.



Also on that same day, police received a call from a citizen who said an SUV had swerved into oncoming traffic several times. Police caught up with the vehicle on Fairview Avenue. They said the driver was impaired due to prescription medications and it was the fifth DUI arrest for the suspect.

46-year-old Charlene Cahoon, aka Charlene Dassing, of Star was also charged with felony DUI.
