Boise Police Need Help in Investigation of North End Hit-and-Run

Boise Police are looking for the public's help in their investigation of a hit-and-run that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.

The incident occurred at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 3 at the intersection of West Fort and North Ninth streets. That's where witnesses told police that an SUV struck the pedestrian who was crossing in the Fort Street crosswalk. The SUV was reportedly turning eastbound onto Fort from Ninth when it hit a woman in her 60s, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle is described as a dark-colored Toyota SUV or pickup, possibly dark brown or black. According to witnesses, the vehicle had a partial license plate of "1A 5."
