Boise Police say they've found the suspect vehicle involved in a Dec. 21 hit-and-run, but no charges have yet to be filed in the case.
John Perkins, 66, of Boise, died of blunt force trauma
after he was was struck while crossing an intersection at South Orchard and West Kootenai streets. At the time, witnesses said a pickup truck traveling southbound on Orchard struck Perkins and never stopped.
Boise police detectives said they received dozens of tips on the incident and were able to locate the truck. Investigators now say there was a passenger car that was driving southbound on Orchard moments before the accident occurred. Detectives are anxious to talk to anyone with more information about the crash.
For now, the investigation is ongoing and detectives will report their findings to the Ada County Prosecutor's Office but no other information is yet available.
