Caldwell police are still looking for a man that they call "a person of interest" in connection with a Christmas Eve incident that left one man dead and two others hospitalized with stab wounds.

Caldwell detectives said they're continuing to interview individuals regarding the incident, but are particularly interested in talking to a man identified as Jacob J. Hernandez, who may have witnessed the crime.

Police said it's a good bet that the stabbing victims knew their attacker or attackers.

By the time police arrived on the scene Wednesday night, one man had died of severe stabbing injuries. His two companions were taken to a local hospital with what were considered to be non-life threatening injuries. Police have yet to identify the victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Canyon County dispatch at 208-454-7531.
