For the second time in less than 24 hours, violence has erupted at a Treasure Valley Jackson's gas station.
In the early morning hours of Dec. 17, 25-year-old Chris Reese, a clerk at the Jackson's on Elgin Street in Notus, was shot and killed. Police said multiple gunshots had been fired inside the Jackson's convenience store at the station. Reese had been working alone. Canyon County Sheriff's deputies are still hunting for two male suspects; both were wearing masks.
Sadly, a separate incident occurred at a Jackson's on 6th Street North in Nampa late Wednesday night. In that incident, a truck driver from Oklahoma was attacked with a knife. The victim's wife said her husband had just stepped out of his truck when a male suspect stabbed him in the chest and forearm. Police said the victim had apparently interrupted a would-be theft of another vehicle.
The victim's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening but he was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, law enforcement described the attacker as about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a medium build and approximately 18 years old. He was wearing a dark hoodie and dark shorts past his knees.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Nampa Police at 208-465-2257.
