A Boise man is behind bars, charged with a felony, after Boise Police said the suspect kneed an officer in the midsection.
The incident began in the late night hours of Sunday, Dec. 14, at a west Boise residence. That's where police were summoned to a call of a disturbance. When law enforcement arrived on the scene they say the suspect was belligerent and raised his hand toward an officer in a combative manner, leading to a brief struggle. As police escorted the suspect to a patrol vehicle, the suspect allegedly used his knee to kick an officer.
43-year-old Frank Allen of Boise was charged with battery on an officer, and resisting or obstructing.
Police were also summoned to a Boise nightclub near the intersection of West Main and South Sixth streets in the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 13. That's where witnesses told officers that a man had been kicked out of the bar on several occasions, but repeatedly tried to reenter the bar. That's when he allegedly got into a physical altercation with security. One victim said he suffered extensive bruising and swelling of the eye.
21-year-old Jarid Pickens of Emmett was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated battery.
And police were also summoned to a Boise home Sunday night, Dec. 14. That's where detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Units said there was evidence that a young child had been injured while under the care of the suspect.
27-year-old Jerry Stice of Boise was charged with injury to a child and probation violation.
