A daylong standoff ended peacefully Friday when the suspect either passed out or fell asleep, according to Twin Falls Police.
For the better part of 25 hours, 45-year-old Randy Scott waved a large knife, a hammer, a fork or a pool cue at police from the window of his Fifth Avenue home after they showed up to arrest him on a charge of suspected battery. When police arrived, a woman fled the home, escaping through a window. Law enforcement tried to use a robot to take a telephone to the suspect, but he continued to toss the phone out the window. According to court records, Hill had previous convictions fo battery on police and indecent exposure.
Ultimately, police entered the home on Friday morning and took Hill into custody, charging him with suspicion of kidnapping, obstructing and delaying police and battery.
