Yes, it's December. No, this unusual "heat wave" won't last. Boise woke up to Christmas music on the radio but temperatures topping 60 degrees Friday morning. For the record, Boise hit 65 degrees in December 1964.
But dramatic change is in the forecast.
After a cold rain sweeps through the region Friday evening, temperatures are expected to drop about 20 degrees by Saturday with a high of 42 degrees and a mix of rain and snow at higher elevations. Saturday night's low is forecast to be 27 degrees and Sunday's high should be around 35 degrees. Cold days and even colder evenings are forecast for the rest of the week.
