Boise Mayor Announces Names of Finalists for Vacant City Council Seat

by

When Boise City Councilman David Eberle told Boise Weekly in 2013 that he was retiring, speculation swirled around who would take his place: Could Adam Park, Boise Mayor Dave Bieter's spokesman, fill Eberle's shoes? What about Holli Woodings, who practically announced her bid for the open seat following her defeat in the statewide race for Idaho secretary of state?

The morning of Dec. 10, Bieter's office announced a shortlist of names, culled from the 31 applications for the position submitted. Bieter will interview the seven finalists and, according to a press release, hopes the Boise City Council will consider his appointment in early  to mid-January.
