USA Today: Boise is 9th Best College Football Town in America

With the college football season reaching a fever pitch, USA Today's so-called Fan Index is out with its annual list of "America's 10 Best College Football Towns," and guess who made the list?

Sure, there are the usual suspects such as Ann Arbor, Mich., Tuscaloosa, Ala., and College Station, Texas, but Boise is tucked right in there with the best of them.

"In Boise, the Broncos are everything," writes USA Today.

And indeed, this coming Saturday, Dec. 6, Boise will host its first Mountain West Championship Game, against Fresno State, nationally televised by CBS in prime time. There's a very good bet that the Broncos will be "bowling" on New Year's Day—possibly in the Fiesta Bowl—if they're successful this weekend.

For the record, here are USA Today's Fan Index of America's 10 Best College Football Towns:
1. Madison, Wis.
2. Austin, Texas
3. Ann Arbor, Mich.
4. Baton Rouge, La.
5. College Station, Texas
6. Athens, Ga.
7. Auburn, Ala.
8. Tuscaloosa, Ala.
9. Boise, Idaho
10. Knoxville, Tenn.
