Boise Police say they teamed up with federal agents to arrest a Nampa man and charge him with a violent sexual assault. And they say they need the public's help to determine if there were more victims.
The case was reported to Boise Police in late October as the victim was receiving medical treatment for injuries suffered during the alleged attack which reportedly occurred at a Boise motel. Detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Unit investigated the crime with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal's Service and staff at the FACES Ada County Family Justice Center.
The suspect was arrested near his home in Nampa Nov. 24. 20-year-old Mehmed Halilovic of Nampa is charged with a felony count of lewd conduct with a minor. He's being held at the Canyon County Jail on $500,000 bond where he awaits extradition to Ada County.

Boise Police say they're also investigating a series of car burglaries on Overland near Cole Road and they're searching for a person of interest. Witnesses told police that a man was seen in a shopping plaza parking lot on the south side of the 7600 block of West Overland Road on the afternoon of Nov. 24. That's where the suspect was reportedly looking into cars and checking to see if doors were unlocked. He was reportedly able to get into two vehicles, stealing multiple items.
The suspect is described as a light skinned adult male around the age of 19 or 20. He weighs approximately 140 pounds and is around 5-foot, 8-inches tall. He was last seen wearing a dark winter jacket, light-colored jeans and hiking boots.
