A man wanted in connection with a May 9 double homicide is back in Boise after being extradited from Pennsylvania.

John C. Douglas, 44, was arrested in Reading, Penn. in July, charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

The charges stem from a May 9 shooting on the 1200 block of South Orchard Street that left two people dead and another injured. The victims, 27-year-old Travontae Calloway and 29-year-old Elliot Bailey—both of Boise—were confirmed by the Ada County Coroner to have died of gun shot wounds.

Later that evening, BPD officers arrested Samari P. Winn, 34, in connection with the shooting, but believed another suspect remained at large.

With help from Pennsylvania law enforcement, Douglas was apprehended and later returned to Idaho, where he is being held at the Ada County Jail, awaiting an arraignment that could take place as early as today.
