An Idaho man was arrested after police discovered that he was walking around Lewis-Clark State College with a concealed weapon but no permit.
The Lewiston Tribune
is reporting that the suspect was spotted near the Clearwater Hall dormitory in the evening hours of Nov. 19. Security officers stopped the suspect and discovered that he was carrying a concealed weapon in a holster under his coat. The weapon was a 9mm handgun. The suspect was not a student. Police confirmed that the suspect did not have a concealed carry permit.
Wesley Bowler, 19, of the Idaho County town of Harpster was arrested by Lewiston Police, and was charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a license, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of a year in jail. He was released on $300 bond. His court date is set for Tuesday, December 9.
