Idaho Man, Victim of Kidnapping, Found Dead in Ontario, Ore.

A Canyon County man, believed to have been kidnapped from his Nampa home on Nov. 8, was found dead in Ontario, Ore., the next day.

Nampa Police said 46-year-old Jeffrey Dyer was reported missing from his Dakota Avenue home early Saturday morning. Police said witnesses pointed to two individuals who entered Dyer's residence, where an altercation took place. Dyer was then reportedly taken from his home, against his will, in his vehicle.

And this morning's Ontario Argus Observer reports that Dyer was found dead in his vehicle in Ontario. The car was parked in the parking lot of a grocery store. Police have not commented on the possible cause of death. Police did say that the incident was not random, but did not elaborate on how Dyer may have known his kidnappers/killers.
