An Idaho man is recuperating from severe injuries suffered when he tried to help another driver in distress.
that Phil Frazier, of Coeur d'Alene, was traveling near the Tri-Cities region in southeastern Washington when he spotted a bad car crash. He got out of his car to help, but that's when things got a whole lot worse. Frazier ended up falling 30 feet off of an embankment, breaking his pelvis, wrists, ankles and six ribs.
Washington State troopers found Frazier two hours later.
"I could not use my legs," Frazier told KREM-TV. "So I rolled onto my back and I pulled my legs up with my right arm and I tied my belt around my legs and I would just breathe."
It turns out that the driver of the other car is all right, but Frazier is laid up in a Seattle hospital, where he faces months of recovery. One more thing: He has no health insurance.
