A male suspect sat in the Malheur County, Ore. jail over the weekend, after being charged with the shooting of a Mountain Home airman. The suspect is expected to be extradited to Idaho today.

Mountain Home Police said the airman from the 366th Logistics Readiness Squadron was shot in the early morning hours Nov. 1 at a laundromat on American Legion Boulevard. The victim was shot once in the chest. He was airlifted to a Boise hospital where he underwent surgery and remains in stable condition.

Police in Ontario, Ore., say they later found the suspect—identified as 38-year-old Lejuan Lee—hiding near an old lumberyard in their city. He was taken into custody, charged with aggravated assault, and is expected to be arraigned this morning.
