The female driver of a car was rushed to a local hospital Monday morning when her vehicle collided with a school bus in Eagle.
The Eagle Police Department and Ada County emergency responders were called to the scene of the intersection of Highway 44 and Park Lane at approximately 10:30 a.m. That's where the bus, which was stopped at a traffic signal on Park Lane, was hit by a four-door Buick that had been traveling eastbound on Highway 44 and turning onto Park Lane.
The jaws of life were used to rescue the driver of the car from the wreckage. She was sent to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the bus, the only person aboard, was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
