  • Nicholas Brendon, known for playing Xander Harris on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' was arrested in Boise last night.

Witnesses said things got a bit rowdy Friday night, Oct. 17, when Nicholas Brendon—who co-starred in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, currently appears in Criminal Minds, and was appearing at the Tree City Comic Con—was arrested at a Boise hotel and charged with malicious injury to property and resisting and obstructing officers.

The 43-year-old Brendon was visiting from Los Angeles, Calif, and was slated to appear at the Comic Con event on Friday and Saturday. But according to the Boise Police Department report, officers were called to the hotel at approximately 9:30 Friday when when witnesses reported a disturbance in the hotel lobby. The witnesses said Brendon showed signs of intoxication and he allegedly broken a decorative dish belonging to the hotel.

Police say that when law enforcement arrived on the scene, Brendon repeatedly refused to stay seated, per police instructions, as officers spoke with other witnesses. Police said Brendon kept trying to walk away from the scene; that's when officers arrested him  for resisting and obstructing. Hotel officials said they would press charges over the broken dish. Officers booked Brendon into the Ada County Jail Friday night, but he posted bail..

According to TMZ, a representative for Brendon said he would like to apologize to the Boise Police Department and the hotel staff for the disturbance.

"It would be extremely helpful if we could all put this misunderstanding behind us and focus on on more positive things."
