Bail was set at $1 million as two men were arraigned on charges in connection with what prosecutors said was a premeditated stabbing at a Boise strip club.

During an Oct. 17 court appearance, prosecutors said 32-year-old Parley Ward and 35-year-old Phillip Law had been involved in a fight at the Torch Lounge on Oct. 16. The two men reportedly had left the club and drove around the block before returning. That's when prosecutors said the two were involved in the fatal stabbing of one victim and a knife attack on a second victim.

Ward has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery. Law is charged with aiding and abetting first-degree murder and aiding and abetting aggravated battery.

The two will return to court Oct. 31 for a preliminary hearing.


UPDATE: Oct. 16, 2014 10:30 a.m.

Two men have each been charged with felony counts of aggravated battery and murder in the shadow of an early morning stabbing at a Boise strip club.

Police were called to the Torch Lounge on the 1800 block of West Main Street at approximately 2:30 a.m.. That's where they found one man—35-year-old Humberto Herrera of Hailey—already dead of stab wounds. A second man who sustained non-life-threatening injuries is a man in his 20s from Boise. Both victims knew each other.

Witnesses said the bar fight concerned a taxi cab.

Eyewitnesses were able to provide officers with descriptions of two male suspects who fled from the club. The two men were caught at approximately 4 a.m. in the area of North 28th and West Idaho streets. 

Parley Ward, 32, of Meridian and 30-year-old Philip Law of Boise were both booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges of murder and aggravated battery.

Two men have been taken into custody by Boise Police in connection with a fatal stabbing at the Torch nightclub on Main Street.

Boise Police rushed to the scene on the 1800 block of West Main Street after receiving a call of a stabbing at the strip club. One man was already dead from his injuries, and another man was transported to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening stab wound. Witnesses told police that two men left the scene just prior to the officers' arrival.

Law enforcement called in the help of a K-9 from the Meridian Police Department and launched what they called an intense search of the area. 

Just before 4 a.m., two men were taken into custody and were still being questioned at sunrise.
