"There's a horse in my swimming pool."

That was the call this morning to the Ada County Sheriff's Office.

And indeed, when ACSO deputies arrived on the scene in the 2700 block of N. Rolling Hills Drive in Star around 1:30 a.m., they discovered a 28-year-old horse in the pool.

Homeowners said they woke up to a crash and a splash, triggering the 911 call. The horse, which belonged to the son of the homeowners, appeared to be OK, according to law enforcement. Eventually, he was coaxed out of the pool and back to the barn. The only injury appeared to be a scrape on the horse's leg.
