Adam Park, the spokesman who has often been the face and voice of the administration of Boise Mayor Dave Bieter, is stepping away from his post, effective later this week.
"Over the course of the last year, my wife and I have come to realize that both of us having high-demand jobs isn’t working and that our family would be happier if one of us is more available for non-work related activities," wrote Park in his goodbye announcement. "I’m leaving on good terms and am grateful to Mayor Bieter for hiring me and for being such a great boss."
Park will be replaced by Mike Journee, who steps into the post in mid-November. Journee, a former journalist, is leaving his current assignment as senior communications staff member at Boise State University.
