One Suspect Caught, Another Still At Large After Early Morning Attempted Robbery in Boise

A Boise woman is behind bars and an alleged male accomplice is being hunted in the wake of an overnight attempted robbery.

Boise Police were called early this morning to a mobile home park on the 8500 block of Fairview Avenue. That where a man and woman told officers that a white Monte Carlo abruptly stopped their vehicle, blocking their path. A man and woman reportedly got out of the Monte Carlo and demanded money from the two victims. The female victim said a male suspect reached into the vehicle and grabbed her. But the victims were able to drive off and call police.

A short time later, police stopped the suspected vehicle near Maple Grove and Holt streets and took the female suspect into custody. But the male victim took off on foot and was still on the loose by sunrise.

The suspect is described as light skinned, in his mid- to late 20s, of medium build and between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a light-colored jacket or long-sleeve shirt and a ball cap, .

Meanwhile, 32-year-old Bernice Zubizareta of Boise was booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with a felony count of attempted robbery.
