Less than two years after being elected to the post, Sun Valley City Councilman Franz Suhadolink has submitted an abrupt resignation.
"Effective September 30, I am hereby resigning my position on the Sun Valley Council," he wrote in a letter dated Sept. 24.
This morning's Idaho Mountain Express
reports that Suhadolink pointed to the expeditious sale of his Sun Valley home as the main reason for his departure. The Mountain Express
reports that Suhadolink was known for taking a non-nonsense approach to budgeting and had boycotted an October 2012 joint meeting with the Ketchum City Council regarding the Sun Valley Alliance.
The Sun Valley council will need to approve an interim replacement and the seat would not be up for a full election until November 2015.
