A Tough Day for Treasure Valley Motorists


A Nampa woman was killed late Wednesday at the Canyon County intersection of Orchard and Lake avenues.

Idaho State Police report that 49-year-old Anna Zarogoza was wearing a seat belt when her Honda Civic went through a stop sign and was struck by a pickup. She died at the scene. The driver of the pickup and a juvenile passenger were transported via ground ambulance to St. Luke's Nampa.

Meanwhile a pair of accidents tangled Thursday morning's rush hour when eastbound traffic on I-84 came to a standstill. One the accidents blocked two right lanes west of the Black Cat overpass. And another crash occurred east of the Ten Mile interchange.

The accidents were cleared by 9 a.m., but traffic was still reported to be backed up for several miles at mid-morning.

Still, a third accident was reported just as the first two were being cleared. The third crash was reported on eastbound I-84 near the Garrity on and off ramps.

Both crashes were non-injury according to ISP
