The Ada County Highway District is set to consider its 2015 budget Aug. 26.
All-told, the budget consists of projects and expenses totaling $97 million. These include resurfacing a section of Bogus Basin Road ($2.8 million), the Downtown Boise Implementation Plan ($2.7 million), rebuilding the intersection of Eagle and McMillan roads in Eagle ($2.9 million) and adding a lane, sidewalks, bike lanes, curbs, gutters as part of the Hill Road Extension ($4.4 million).
The public is invited to attend and testify at the hearing, which will take place at 6 p.m. at the ACHD Auditorium, located at 3775 Adams Street in Garden City.
Commissioners will also deliberate on a spending plan that does not raise the property tax rate for the sixth year in a row, though it will vote on a draft budget that would tax the value of newly improved properties, which would raise an additional $970,000.
ACHD is permitted by law to consider up to a 3-percent increase in the property tax rate.
