After high investment returns in the last 12 months, Idaho's endowment fund hit a record high of $1.73 billion, the Associated Press reports.
Investment manager Larry Johnson reported to the Idaho Land Board July 15 that the fund had earned its second highest value in its history during the fiscal year that ended June 30. This is the second year running in which the fund has reported record highs.
Later this year, the Land Board will consider how to spend the fund's earnings. Beneficiaries of the fund include public schools, the Idaho Department of Correction and others.
