D.L. Evans to Take Over Idaho Banking Company



Say goodbye to yet another bank as D.L. Evans Bank acquires the assets of Idaho Banking Company, which operated four branches in the Boise area.

The acquisition, through a bankruptcy auction, is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be finalized this fall and bring D.L. Evans branches in the Boise area to 11. D.L. Evans has branches across Southern Idaho, including Boise, Albion, Burley, Hailey, Idaho Falls, Jerome, Ketchum, Meridian, Nampa, Pocatello, Rupert and Twin Falls, with more than $1 billion in assets and $665 million in loans. The bank was recently granted a charter to open another branch in Caldwell.

Former Idaho Gov. John Evans is the current president of D.L. Evans Bank. which was founded in 1904 by his grandfather. The former governor's son John Evans Jr. is the bank's chief executive officer.
