Idaho Has Become Glenn Beck's Home Away From Home

The combustible media personality Glenn Beck is back on an Idaho stage this weekend. Beck is set to present what is billed as "a patriotic program" July 5 at Franklin County's Dahle Performing Arts Center. This is Beck's second visit in as many years. In 2013, he raised more than $120,000 for the Worm Creek Opera House in Preston.

And this morning's Idaho State Journal reports that Beck likes Idaho so much that he's decided to make it his summer home—buying his own summer oasis in the Franklin County town of Weston.

"I'm sure he wants to come here, unwind and get away," Paul Swainston, treasurer of the Franklin County Theater Arts Council, told the Journal. "He comes here because people are willing to leave him alone."

Proceeds from Saturday's event—tickets are $40 a pop—will be divided among the Dahle Performing Arts Committee, the Franklin County Theater Arts Council and the Oneida Stake Academy, an historical 19th century pioneer schoolhouse in need of restoration.
