Regional and federal law enforcement officials are remaining tight-lipped about an investigation that triggered a raid June 25 at a North Idaho business.
This morning's Coeur d'Alene Press reports that armed personnel from the Environmental Protection Agency showed up at the Hayden, Idaho, offices of The Rooter Guys Thursday, where eyewitnesses said agents sifted through company records and documents at the business and lifted sewer caps outside of the building.
Meanwhile, an EPA agent said the business was "off-limits" until the search was complete.
The Press reports that a spokeswoman at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Boise confirmed the search, but said no one had been charged with any crime as of yet. A regional administrator with the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality told the Press that the EPA agents were investigating a possible illegal discharge at the business.
