Watch a Trailer for Documentary on Idaho's Add The Words Movement

For eight years, the Add the Words movement has pushed for adding the words "gender identity" and "sexual orientation" to Idaho's human rights law. During the 2013-2014 legislative session, the movement garnered widespread media attention for a string of protests that resulted in the arrests of more than 100 demonstrators.

Floating amid groves of camera crews and notepad-wielding journalists was a film crew of the movement's own, there to document growing frustration at the Legislature's continued inaction on the issue. Captured on film, the documentary explores the reaction Add the Words demonstrations garnered from lawmakers and shines a light on the plight of Idahoans directly affected by the absence of protections for LGBT citizens.

Add the Words recently released a trailer for the film, which can be seen above. The doc debuts at the Egyptian Theatre Sunday, June 15.
