One Suspect Booked For Boise Murder, Another Still at Large

Samari Winn, 34, is charged with two felony counts of murder.

Boise police said they're pretty sure they know the motive behind a late-night May 8 shooting that left two dead and a third fighting for her life. But they have provided few details on the triple shooting in the 2100 block of S. Orchard Street, except for the announcement of one arrest and the hunt for a second suspect.

Samari Winn, 34, was booked into the Ada County Jail May 9 on two felony counts of murder.

Police said a second suspect remained at large and urged anyone with information on the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.

Two of the three shooting victims, 28-year-old Elliott Bailey and 27-year-old Travontae Calloway, died of multiple gunshot wounds at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The third victim, a female who has not been identified, remains hospitalized. All three were roommates at 2178 S. Orchard St. when Winn reportedly came to the door with the second suspect and opened fire.
