An elderly man is being held in the Kootenai County jail after police said he ran a help wanted ad, looking for a secretary, but then tried to make an applicant have sex with him.

This morning's Coeur d'Alene Press reports that 77-year-old Monte Masingale of Greenacres, Wash., the owner of Greenacres Motors in the Spokane, Wash., area, with another location in Post Falls, placed an advertisement in the Spokane Spokesman-Review. But prosecutors said Masingale said he was looking for more than a secretary, holding a female victim in a hug and kissing her while putting his hands inside her clothing, saying he wanted to have sex with her inside one of his recreational vehicles.

The Press reports that Masingale had been a suspect in other alleged incidents involving other job advertisements that allegedly lured women to his dealerships.

Masingale has been sentenced to 180 days in jail with 150 days suspended for a conviction of misdemeanor battery.
