Fugitive on Idaho's Most Wanted List Captured in Nampa

A fugitive featured on the Idaho Crime Stoppers Most Wanted List has been arrested by the Nampa Police Department.

Vicente Prieto was wanted on warrants for felony counts of eluding, two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor counts of possession of paraphernalia, obstruct and delay, driving without privileges, trespassing, petit theft, probation violations for domestic battery and violation of a non-contact order, windshield obstruction and operating a motor vehicle with no insurance. 

His total bond is in excess of $360,000.

Early Thursday morning, Nampa Police detectives and members of the Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force learned that Prieto might be at a residence on the 1700 block of Third Street South in Nampa. At about 11 p.m., he surrendered to police. 

Four days prior to his arrest, Prieto sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his lower leg. At the time of his arrest, his wound was infected and in need of immediate medical attention. After receiving treatment at a local hospital, he was released into police custody.
